The third show of the 2012 Schooling Show series was May 26, 2012 at Oak View Stables near Olive Branch, Mississippi. This series of hunter/jumper shows is a collaboration of Oak View Stables, Hunters Edge Stables, Meg Ford Horse Shows, and Longreen Foxhounds. The series gives riders a chance to compete at several different venues, and experience courses by different course designers. The classes are for very green, as well as advanced horses and riders. Two rings were in action simultaneously, one for the green horses or riders, the other for more advanced including Equitation classes.
Schooling was the operative word! Many riders could be heard critiquing their rides to the others as soon as they left the arena. The show was organized and well-attended, with 54 entries, offering a concession stand on the grounds and plenty of shade for horse, rider, and spectators.
