MegFord hunter/jumper schooling shows began their season March 30-31 at the Germantown Charity Horse Show Arena. Unseasonably warm weather welcomed the spring show, with temperatures soaring to the mid- and high-80s under sunny skies. But it wasn’t too hot for many youngsters and adults to come out and ride in the first of the year’s schooling shows. Fuzzy Mayo was course designer and provided the jumps for the show. Friday evening fun classes included the “egg and spoon” and “clothes pin drop.”
Ann Ford Upshaw and Meg Birchfield have teamed to host the MegFord Horse Shows, the Germantown, TN area hunter/jumper shows, formerly known as Alderwood Shows. They are offering four shows at the Germantown Charity Show Grounds in 2012, which include Friday Fun Classes as well as hospitality. In addition, MegFord Horse Shows has joined forces with Hunters Edge Stables, Oak View Stables and Longreen to create the 2012 Schooling Shows Series, offering hunter and jumper exhibitors and trainers three venues and multiple horse show opportunities throughout the year that will combine to one year-end point total.
