Germantown Charity Horse Show Selects 2012 Queen

The Germantown Charity Horse Show (GCHS) Christmas party was the scene for the unveiling of the 2012 Horse Show Queen.  Elizabeth Alexandra Foster was presented to the membership Dec 15th.  Elizabeth has strong family ties to the GCHS. She is the daughter of Past President (2002-2003) of GCHS, Murray Foster, and Karen Foster.  She is the Grandaughter of Mary Liz Foster and the late W.N. "Sonny" Foster, who was President of GCHS in 1980-81.  The arena at the show grounds was named after Sonny in memory of his devotion to horses and equine activities in the Germantown area.
 
Queen Elizabeth is a sophomore at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and is a bio-chemistry major.  She is a member f the Delta Sigma Chapter of Delta Delta Delta and serves on the team Vols Service Committee.  As a graduate of St. George's Independent Schools in 2010, she had a 3.97 grade point average and participated in basketball, soccer, tennis, and chorus.
 
Elizabeth loves  the outdoors and helped start the Gryphon Outdoor Recreation Program (GORP) at St George's.  She enjoys hiking, canoeing, and recently became a certified scuba diver. She is also CPR and AED certified and has worked in High School for Life Time Fitness as a life guard and swimming instructor. She has continued working in college at the University of TN Recreational Center where she has received a number of commendations from her supervisors.
