At the Perry Bigbee Memorial Team Roping, Andrew Livington won his first saddle in the # 15 roping. Andrew is the son of Nancy Stephenson of Laconia, TN and the late J.A. Livingston, DVM of Collierville, Tennessee.
The Team Roping event was held in memory of Running P Ropes founder, Perry Bigbee, who passed away in December 2010, at his home arena just outside Muscle Shoals, Alabama.
Just under eight hundred teams ran for cash and prizes, making it one of the largest roping events east of the Mississippi. The day offered #15, #12 and #10 handicaps. Seven especially designed custom Running P saddles were given away, with the top teams in each of the three ropings winning a saddle, plus the high point winner of the day won a saddle.
The first roping was #15 with 180 teams. After the dust settled, Andrew Livingston and Tim Roberts were the clear leaders, out running the next three places who were separated by mere fractions. For their efforts, each won $991 in addition to a super cool Running P saddle.
