Good Time$ Futurity Barrel Race March 25-28 at the Show Place Arena There was plenty of fast-paced action at the seventh annual Good Time$ Futurity Barrel Race, March 25-28 at the Show Place Arena. The Futurity offered a total of $44,000 in added money to contestants. Individually, the show offered a $20,000 added 3-D Futurity for 4 and 5 year olds; $5,000 added Amateur; $5,000 Pro Elite Sire Incentive; $7,500 Triple Crown Bonus Money; two $2,500 added 4-Ds; a $1,000 added Youth 3-D; and a $500 Friday night jackpot. In addition to cash payouts, saddles to the champions and a trophy buckle to the fastest futurity time were given. The show was organized by Dan Shirey, father to NBHA and BFA competitor Brad Shirey, and grandfather to Youth 1-D National Champion Hannah Shirey.
