Equinventions StepnSoak Hoof Soaking Boot This is a monthly Column featuring new inventions and gadgets related to horses. We invite your submissions and suggestions. StepnSoak is a newly developed hoof soaking “boot” used to facilitate the task of soaking hooves prior to any hoof treatment. StepnSoak was designed as a safe, quick, easy “one piece - one step” hoof soaking system. StepnSoak was designed by Lydia del Rossi of Aiken, SC with the female horse owner in mind. It is made of durable soft matte vinyl similar to IV bag material. It was designed with heat sealed construction so it will not split, rip, tear or break. StepnSoak is 14” wide, 21” tall and has two 18” flexible, soft vinyl ties attached to either side. It opens wide enough to accommodate any size hoof and is designed to slip on the horse’s leg, crisscross the attached ties, and safely secure to the leg prior to a soaking or icing session. For use in ponies and minis, simply fold the “boot” in half and use as directed. StepnSoak is safe, convenient, and very durable, yet disposable, coming 4 to a box for $23.95.
