Harley Jade Reeves Wins At Verona, Miss. Harley Jade Reeves of Hamilton, Miss. and her Appaloosa mare have gained attention this summer in 4-H horse shows as they have won in barrels and halter. At the District Show held in Verona, the duo won the Champion Registered Appaloosa Mare Halter Class and placed third in barrels. At the State Show in Jackson, they won Reserve Champion in Halter and 11th place overall in barrels. Harley says it is unusual for a halter horse to run barrels. “We may not win first in barrels, but we can look good doing it!” The 4-H’er is the daughter of Felicia and Tony Bailey of Hamilton. She is 15 years old and is a 9th grader at Hamilton High School.
