Mid-South Riders Successfully Show In Murfreesboro Dressage Event Allyson Rogers and several other area trainers and owners showed successfully at the Ole South Dressage Show in Murfreesboro, Tennessee on August 22-24. Rogers' yearling, Replica, was second in the yearling filly class out of 8 other fillies. She returned to the championships for mares. Replica is by Routinier, the internationally ranked stallion that Ally shows and competes. He is owned by Heritage Manor Sporthorses in MD. Ruxton, a yearling colt owned by Tracey Arnett of Rossville was second in the yearling colt class and also returned to the championships. Both Replica and Ruxton won the "Get of Sire" class, both by Routinier. Kathy Massey's German riding pony yearling filly Lasca was 5th in the filly class. In the performance division, Rogers was very successful with two young 5-year olds. Desert Queen, a Hanoverian mare won the Training level open qualifier with a 70.61% and Dressed to Thrill was 2nd with a 69.7%. There were 17 entries in the class. Desert Queen is also owned and bred by Heritage Manor Sporthorses in MD and Dressed to Thrill was recently purchased by Tina West from Heritage Manor. Dressed to Thrill won every class entered that weekend other than the one that Desert Queen won. Kim Gentry was there with her clients' 2 Friesian geldings. She placed second in the training level test and won many other classes, so Memphis was very well represented! Especially considering the entries were very diverse and represented many states, including Kentucky, Georgia, Alabama and Florida. Karen Raber of Byhalia, Mississippi was successful with her 9 yr old Dutch gelding Silvestor in both third and fourth level and Patty Fannin of Eads also was first or second in all of her fourth level test on her own Oldenburg Fanfare. Both have trained with Rogers for 5 years. Jayne Ryan of Jonesville, Akansas and Wyedale also scored quite high in her classes.
