Pamela Deaville said she and her husband knew there was a possibility he could break the $1 millions in NCHA lifetime earnings during the three days of the Mid-South CHA show
Nov. 9-11 in Batesville, Miss..at Lee Garner’s Ranche One.
When they left their home in Covington, Louisiana, professional cutting trainer Keith Deaville needed $1,450 to achieve the recognition obtained by only a few in the industry. After winning $465 on Adam Smart with a score of 75 in the Open class and $682 with a score of 71 on Twister Player (owned by wife Pamela) in the Futurity Open, the couple knew there was a chance Keith could cross the million dollar milestone on his third run of the day.
But would Adam Smart owned by Amanda Purdin of Baton Rogue be up to the task? Keith entered the herd and during the run, Adam Smart cut three calves, scored a 71 placing second and winning $337 which broke the million dollar mark for the Louisiana trainer.
Gayle Allen from Arkansas was the NCHA Judge for the show.
