The Heat Is On


Jx2 Productions brought “The Heat Is On” team roping to Tunica, Mississippi August 11-13, 2017. Offering ten saddles, 22 trophy buckles, breast collars, one Heel-O-Matic Pro to the high point roper, and many other prizes, including 70% payback in the #9, #10, #11, #12 and #13 Curicyn divisions, the event attracted lots of ropers from all across the mid-south.

Big Tex #8 saddle winners were: Average – Owen Bewley and Dan Palasek

The #6 winners were: Average – Doug Lee and Ryon Ramsey, who took home buckles and a Heel-O-Matic.
The #9 Curicyn winners were Nathan Johnson and Randy Mills. They took home Jx2 Productions vests.
The #10 Curicyn winners were Jimmy Dale White and Jimmy LaDale White, also taking home Jx2 Productions vests.
The #11 Curicyn winners were Beau Tabor and Jake Pollard, who also took home Jx2 Production vests.
The #11 Century winners were David Bell and Mike Jones, who took home Champion embossed breast collars.
The #12 Curicyn winners were Garner Holcomb and Cody Warner, receiving Jx2 Productions vests.
The #13 Curicyn winners were Dusty Warner and Cody Warner, receiving Jx2 Productions vests. This pair were also winners of the #13 WSTR, taking home engraved belt buckles.
The #15 Handicap winners were Kevin Simoneau and Cody Warner. (Was there anything else Cody Warner didn’t win?)

Junior Looper winners were: age 10-12: Dallen Drewery; age7-9: Triston Gilmore; age 6 & under: Bryar Ball
