Tennessee Equine Hospital Celebrates Anniversaries

2016/12/04

On Thursday, November 3, 2016, Tennessee Equine Hospital invited clients and friends to join them at their Thompson’s Station location to celebrate 25 years of serving the horse community. The event featured Cowboy Poet Ron McDaniel and a presentation by Dr. Fairfield Bain, DVM on “Understanding The Sick Horse.” There was live music from “People on the Porch” and, of course, plenty of food.

Then on Friday, November 18, Tennessee Equine Hospital hosted another party at their Eads, Tenn. location to celebrate their one year anniversary at this satellite hospital. Again, there was plenty of good food and the People on the Porch played music for guests to dance. Most of the songs they play are songs they have written. Even Dr. McInturff got in the action, dancing with veterinarian Dr. Rilla Reese. He even brought his strobe light for special effects!

Just before the soiree started, a front came through bringing winds, thunderstorms, and rain as temperatures fell. Tables had to be brought inside, but guests didn’t mind dining in the spacious stalls.

Tennessee Equine has a new veterinarian at the Eads facility: Dr. Mia Holmes. She started at this hospital this past August. TEH also has an internship program in which interns work one week per month at the Eads hospital.

Dr. McInturff told the crowd, “Tonight we are celebrating one year of serving horses in west Tennessee. Eat, drink, and have fun! Thanks for horses! We’ve been serving horses in Tennessee for over 25 years!”

The party was a great success and no guest went home hungry.
